The bass Deryck Hamon
studied singing at the Royal Northern College of Music under Glenville
His operatic roles have included: the title role in Mikado for D'Oyly Carte Opera Company, Bonze in Madame Butterfly and Sarastro in Magic Flute for Mid Wales Opera, Zuniga (cover) in Carmen, Dikoy (cover) in Katya Kabanova and Angelotti (cover) in Tosca for Scottish Opera. He has also sung the roles of Commendatore in Don Giovanni for English Touring Opera, Valoucky in Smetana's The Kiss for Opera Theatre Company, Benoit/Alcindoro in La Boheme, Count Laski in Chabrier's Le Roi Malgre Lui and Potap in Tchaikovsky's The Enchantress for Grange Park Opera.
He is currently singing Alcindoro/Benoit in La Boheme and Parson in Cunning Little Vixen for English Touring Opera and future roles include singing the role of Don Pasquale.
