Robert Millner studied at
Trinity College, Cambridge and later at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama
in London. He has been privileged to study singing with Franco Corelli in Italy.
Robert's roles include Alfredo in Music Theatre London's Olivier Award nominated production of La Traviata and later Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte and Rodolfo in La Boheme for the same company. He also sang the role of Turiddu in the inaugural performance of Cavalleria Rusticana at the Vietnam Opera House in Saigon, Don Josť and Danilo in Columbia Artistsí production of Carmen and Merry Widow on tour in the United States with London City Opera and The Messenger in Theodora for Glyndebourne Festival Opera. More recently Robert has sung the role of Rodolfo in Co-Opera Irelandís revised production of La Boheme in Ireland. He also performed Brittenís Serenade at the Hermitage in St Petersburg in Russia, the role of Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus, Rodolfo again on tour in the Far/Middle East and the role of Don Jose in Carmen for Garden Opera.
Highlights in 2004 have included Don Jose in Carmen for Garden Opera, Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore for Northern Opera, Ernesto in Don Pasquale for European Chamber Opera and a performance of Verdi's Requiem at the Seychelles International Festival.
Future engagements include singing the role of Duke in Rigoletto for European Chamber Opera.
