The soprano Diana Vivian studied singing
with Jean Allister and Rudolf Pierney at the Royal Academy of Music and the
Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Her operatic roles include: Elektra in Idomeneo, Cio-Cio-San in Madame Butterfly, Tosca, Turandot, Kostelnicka in Jenufa, Elizabeth in Don Carlos, Desdemona in Otello, Amelia in Ballo in Maschera, Leonora in Il Trovatore, Aida, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Abigail in Nabucco, Senta in Flying Dutchman, Elizabeth in Tannhauser and Sieglinde in Walküre.
Highlights this season include: Gutrune (cover) in Götterdammerung, Gutrune and Gerhilde (cover) in Der Ring des Nibelungen and Aida (cover) for Scottish Opera. For Welsh National Opera she will cover the role of Leonore in their production of Il Trovatore.
We are delighted to announce that she has just been invited to sing the role of Old Burya in Jenufa for Vlaamse Opera in Autumn 2004.
